The Australian Ballet School Scholarship Awards Competition

On the weekend of 10-12 June, Samantha Wong attended the inaugural Australian Ballet School Scholarship Awards competition held in Melbourne. After an intensive 2 days of classes and solo performances, she was selected as 1 of 8 finalists (out of 71 competitors) in the 10-12yrs age group. She performed a variation from the ballet Don Quixote, called the Queen of the Dryads, before a panel of 10 judges and a sold out audience at the State Theatre in Melbourne. Samantha was awarded ‘Runner-up’ on the night for the 10-12yrs division. This is an amazing achievement and we are extremely proud of all her hard work! Congratulations Samantha!

Samantha’s prize includes the following:

·         2 week Scholarship including classical and allied classes with specialist teachers

·         Observation of classes & rehearsals of The Australian Ballet School and/or The Australian Ballet
